Every year, I’m taken by the transition that occurs between March/April/May – when the farm is largely quiet but for the arrival of new apprentices and the thrum of tractors – and June, when the landscape is suddenly animated by our community of CSA members. This season, I’m struck with a sense of gratitude: both for the cyclical nature of this seasonal work and the deep, enduring connection that we (your farmers) foster in community with you all.

As a crew, we’re settling into our roles and rhythms as the season ramps up. Our Farm Manager, Madison, and I have been busy training our new apprentices and crew leader on various tractor tasks: plowing, planting and weeding populate most of our days. Simultaneously, our harvest season is upon us, and we’re thrilled to be pulling in some of the first crops of the season to send to our partners at the Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center, the Springs Farmers Market and our various wholesale partners.

For those of you who’ve not yet signed up for your Quail Hill Farm Summer Share, now’s the time – We’ve sold about 75% of our shares for the season. Join today, and help us spread the word!
