The work of this ongoing program includes:
- Farmland protection — over 6,000 acres and growing;
- Farmland leasing to new and established farmers, including our plans to restore the Historic Case House as part of our farmland leasing program;
- Farmer training and apprenticeship programs, including Quail Hill Farm’s Advanced Apprenticeship program, mentorship for farmers in our incubator program, and farm safety training;
- Support for local food pantries with produce grown at Quail Hill Farm, the Ag Center and Bridge Gardens;
- Places for people to grow and harvest their own food, including the CSA program at Quail Hill and the community gardens at the Ag Center and Bridge Gardens.
