New Feature | Interactive Map of Conservation Projects

This month the Trust celebrates 38 years since incorporation on August 1, 1983. Over the years, the Trust has worked to conserve over 13,000 acres through 580 individual projects across Long Island. If you’re interested in learning more about our work, visit our new interactive map here.

Our new map provides details on all our preserves, easements and facilitations. You can read the property’s conservation story, view photos of many preserves and access links to more information on our website.

If you’re a Suffolk County resident, you can search by address to see what has been protected by the Trust, municipalities and other nonprofits near you. You can also use the sidebars to learn about the amount that has been protected in each town and hamlet or view census data for each locality. This map will be continuously updated as new parcels are conserved by both the Trust and our partners.
