Meet The Crew | River Gallagher

Hi Quail Hill Farm Community:

My name’s River Gallagher, a new farm apprentice, I use they/them & he/him pronouns. The past seasons I’ve been farming in Vermont at the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps and in Massachusetts with Freedom Food Farm.

Farming in community and working alongside the powerhouses of Layton and Scott are two of the many aspects that lured me to Quail Hill.

Outside of farming I love cooking, pick up soccer, pot-lucking and dipping into art. Will definitely ask for your go-to seasonal recipes and what kind of art each of you share.

One of my goals this season is to learn more about photography and how to fish in the ocean, so if you know anyone! … Looking forward to being apart of this beautiful foodshed and getting to know you all out in the fields!
