You’ve created your own birdhouse - Congratulations!
Hang it on a tree or post and place it in a protected area so predators won’t see it as easily. You’ll notice the hole is small - this is a birdhouse for wrens, chickadees and other small birds. Once they decide to nest in it, they’ll likely return every year, especially if you clean it out at the end of the summer season. You can attract these entertaining birds to your yard by providing food and water for them. Native plants in the garden are always a good choice for food.
